Children, Young People and Families

Our Children, Young People and Families Programmes allows us to deliver activities to young people, encouraging them to participate in a variety of activities that increase confidence, self-esteem, self-belief as well as helping to build sustainable relationships.

Whilst our activities are available to all children and young people, we have been particularly keen to engage with disadvantaged young people, deliver effective interventions, improve their quality of life, health and general well-being by providing access to opportunities, information and support.
Our services must be booked in advance (during covid) and your child must have a consent form.

Carpet Bowling

Enjoy meeting new friends for a game of carpet bowling. We are friendly crew and welcome newcomers to the game as well as the semi-professionals.

‘The Bovril Club’

Traditionally men only (but women welcome). Come along to experience the banter from our community garden and its cabins. Share your handy man (or woman) skills, and your gardening skills with others or just enjoy a blether and a hot Bovril. Occasionally we organise outings to places of interest to people’s palace, transport museum, Falkirk wheel etc just for a wee change of scenery. Charges may apply.

Activities For everyone

Tovertafel

The Tovertafel (Magic Table) games are ideal activities for all ages especially. The games make events more enjoyable and help conquer apathy. They are designed to play in an intuitive way. They elicit natural movements and gestures, and respond to even the smallest movements.
